Celtics recap and offseason: Interviews (bloggers Julian Edlow, Kevin O’Connor), podcast and more

As the NBA season came to a close, most Celtics fans have been looking towards the offseason and all the possibilities that could happen to this team after their 25-57 start. I took the opportunity to look back at the season as well as look ahead to the NBA Draft and the offseason. I interviewed CelticsBlog.com writer Kevin O’Connor and CelticsLife.com and WEEI Green Street blogger Julian Edlow to get their thoughts on all things Celtics.


Jess Thomas: What are your opinions on the season as a whole?

Kevin O’Connor:  The season was a success for the Boston Celtics. Brad Stevens managed to establish his identity onto the team, one that works hard and makes progress each and every day, which was the biggest question mark going in. Obviously the team struggled, but that will be a good thing in the long run since there is a good chance they draft a quality player or trade the pick for a proven one.

 

JTWhat was the most satisfying aspect (in a season not full of them) for you this year?

KO: For me, it was the fans. I think it’s amazing that the Celtics had the 11th best attendance (97.2%) in all of the NBA. Other bottom-feeder teams couldn’t fill up the building yet TD Garden was packed every single night. Fans were crazy and some games it was like a playoff atmosphere. It speaks to the loyalty of the fans, but also to the character of the Celtics team and organization.
